چکیده
Chromium (VI) is a well-known pollutant that present in industrially polluted soil and water, has been reported to be mutagenic carcinogenic. In the study, we investigated effective use of Leptolyngbya boryana (cyanobacterium) as an eco-friendly option overcome Cr toxicity tannery effluents. The main objective this study was identify reductase (ChrR) gene its variability context stress. Industrial samples were collected processed according standard protocols for ChrR variation 16S rDNA analysis. Genomic DNA isolated from genes amplified by PCR. Amplified sequenced aligned with known sequences. strong correlation established between nucleotide sequences genes. Minimum Inhibitory Concentration (MIC) determined (VI), pure strains L. identified samples. (VI)-stressed conditions their genetic confirmed sequencing. conclusion, strain overcoming

Biotransformation of chromium (Cr-VI to Cr III) from tannery effluent using bacteria and fungi
Chromium, a priority pollutant is well known for its mutagenicity, carcinogenicity and teratogenicity in humans, animals and plants. Extensive use of chromium in industries such as leather tanning, stainless-steel production, electroplating and wood preservatives have resulted in extensive chromium contaminated soil and ground water. Microorganisms are involved in the removal of toxic wastes, b...
متن کاملAdsorption of Cr(VI) and Speciation of Cr(VI) and Cr(III) in Aqueous Solutions Using Chemically Modified Chitosan
A new type of grafting chitosan (CTS) was synthesized using 2-hydroxyethyl-trimethyl ammonium chloride (HGCTS). The adsorption of Cr(VI) on HGCTS was studied. The effect factors on adsorption and the adsorption mechanism were considered. The results indicated that the HGCTS could concentrate and separate Cr(VI) at pH 4.0; the adsorption equilibrium time was 80 min; the maximum adsorption capaci...

Trivalent and hexavalent chromium continuous biosorption was studied using residual brewer Saccharomyces cerevisiae immobilized in volcanic rock. The columns used in the process had a diameter of 4.5 cm and a length of 140 cm, working at an inlet flow rate of 15 mL/min. Breakthrough curves were used to study the yeast biosorption behavior in the process. The saturation time (ts) was 21 and 45 h...

Biosorption and biotransformation of Cr (VI) by hexavalent chromium-stressed environmental fungal isolates from wastewater
As conventional physico-chemical heavy-metal remediation technologies like ion-exchange, reverse osmosis, electrodialysis etc. are becoming extremely expensive, the possibility of use of microorganisms in bioremediation or biorecovery of different heavy metals from industrial effluents is extensively explored by different workers. Hexavalent chromium stressed environmental fungal isolates from ...
